Question: If you were to die today, do you know for sure you go to heaven?
1 All have sinned against God.
Rom 3:23: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”
(Rom 3:10, Exo 20, Mat 5:21-28)
2 There are wages for our sin.
Rom 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
It is eternal punishement.
Rev 20:14-15: “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
We all deserve to go there.
Rev 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
(Rev 20:10, Mar 9:43-48)
Good works cannot save. Like a good earthly judge will not allow a criminal to go free because of good things he has done in his life. In the same way, God, who is a good and just judge, will punish every sin. We all deserve to go to hell.
3 But God loves us and is not willing that any should perish.
Rom 5:8: “But God commanded His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.”
God came in the flesh
1 Tim 3:16: ”And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”
Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, did many miracles, he healed the sick, raised the death.
(John 1:1,14, Heb 1:8, John 20:28, Col 2:9)
He also preached the Word of God and when you speak the truth people get offended. They arrested him, beat him and nailed him on a cross. Where he took our punishment.
1 Pet 2:24: ”Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”
He died on that cross for our sins, was buried and bodily rose the third day.
(1 Cor 15:3-4, 2 Cor 5:21, 1 John 2:2)
4 But not all go to heaven, so what must I do to be saved?
Acts 16:30-31: “...Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”
The answer is believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for your salvation. It is whosever believes!
John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
(John 14:6, Acts 4:12)
5 The gift of God is Eternal life, which means life without end. Once you are saved, you can never loose it.
John 10:28: “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”
Salvation is not depending on our works.
Eph 2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
You become a child of God.
John 1:12: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name”
And like an eartly father punishes his children also God corrects His children here on earth, but you always be His child.
(John 5:24, 6:35, 11:26, Rom 4:5, 11:6, Gal 2:16, 1 John 5:10-13)
6 Receive that gift today.
Rom 10:9-10: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Dear Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and deserve to go to hell.
But I believe that you died for all my sins and rose again.
Please save me right now and give me eternal life. I am only trusting in you Jesus.
Amen.
We believe that the King James Bible is the word of God without error in the English language. We reject all modern Bible translations [Psalm 12:6-7, Psalm 119:89, Matthew 24:35, 1 Peter 1:23]. In the Farsi language the equivalent is the Old Persian translation or the language update of this translation of the New Testament, the TBS translation.
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith. Being born again by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ is the only requirement for salvation. [Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10, Romans 10:13]
We believe in the eternal security of the believer (once saved, always saved). [John 5:24, John 10:27-29, Ephesians 1:13]
We believe in baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. We reject sprinkling, pouring, and "Jesus only" baptism. [Acts 8:36-38, Acts 16:30-31, Romans 6:3-5]
We believe that the unsaved will spend eternity in torment in a literal hell. [Mark 9:43-48, Luke 16:22-24, Revelation 14:10, Revelation 20:10, Revelation 20:14-15]
We believe that Jesus is God, and that Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary. [Matthew 1:23]
We believe that God consists of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, and that these three are one [1 John 5:7]. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are three distinct persons [John 1:1, 1 Corinthians 15:27-28, John 8:16-18, John 17:5]. This doctrine is commonly known as the trinity."
We believe that Christ established “local” New Testament churches. We believe that a church is an assembly or congregation of local believers banding together under the leadership of a pastor for the purpose of fulfilling the Great Commission. We reject the teaching of all believers making up a “universal church”. [Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 4:16, Titus 1:5]
We believe that the rapture will take place after the tribulation but before God pours out his wrath on this earth. We reject dispensationalism. [Matthew 24:29-31, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3]
We believe that life begins at conception (fertilization) and reject all forms of abortion. We oppose all forms of birth control that end life after conception. [Genesis 1:28, Jeremiah 1:5]
We believe that sodomy (homosexuality) is a sin and an abomination before God which God punishes with the death penalty. No one involved in any unnatural sin (homosexuality, pedophilia, bestiality, etc.) will be allowed to attend or join Salt and Light Baptist church. [Leviticus 20:13, Romans 1:32]
We oppose worldliness and believe in holy and separated living. [James 4:4, 1 John 2:15-16]
